• ERS Fellowship/Scholarship Application

    Deadlines: 31 June 2017 (1st cycle), 31 December 2017 (2nd cycle)
  • European Royal Society awards up to ten fellowships/scholarships annually to exceptional candidates from any nation, in any field of study. ERS Fellowship/Scholarship Program is primarily designed to help individuals obtain university degree, undergraduate or advanced (postgraduate).

    The amount of stipend varies, and it normally covers 75-100% of tuition and other normal expenses, up to the maximum of €10000 per academic year.

    Read and follow instructions carefully prior to submitting the application. Qualified candidates will be notified by 01 August 2017 (1st cycle) and 01 February 2018 (2nd cycle), at which points they are asked to submit documentation to support their application information. All recipients will be notified on or before 30 September 2017 (1st cycle) and 31 March 2018 (2nd cycle).

  • Test scores are not required for fellowship eligibility. However, providing a test score can increase the likelihood of your selection as compared to other candidates.

  • All scholarship applicants reporting a test score will be asked to provide official verification.

  • Note: If you are a 2017 college graduate a minimum score of 55% or higher is desired but not required.

  • ERS administers different types of fellowships and scholarships designed to offer aid to candidates that represent unique characteristics. Please check each of the qualifiers below that applies to you. These data may increase your likelihood of qualifying for the fellowship or scholarship. Please note, if you are awarded a fellowship or scholarship based on any of these qualifiers, you will be asked to produce documentation verifying your unique eligibility. Answering below questions will neither disqualify you nor lower your chances.

You should address in your essay: your career goals and choice of major/thesis topic, what you intend to do with your education, and why a fellowship is so important to you. Include any academic and non-academic accomplishments, personal characteristics, or experiences that make you uniquely worthy of fellowship consideration.
